Thrift Store Score!

Monday, March 30, 2009

For those of you who are not sewing geeks like myself, this is a classic how-to book. I spied it at my local thrift store for 50 cents.

I was a hero at the cash register. Apparently, the two women at the register were also sewing geeks, who hadn't been able to check out the table where this book was hiding.

Ah... the thrill of the hunt.

i saw your aprons and bags on etsy. they are super cute and your vision is better than my own! how is the book? i found a library book called "Very Basic Book of Sewing" by Violet K Simons. It's from the 70's and terrific re: alterations.

Nice find! I often get some of my photos for pendants at thrift stores, garage sales, etc. The price is right & you can find some of the most unique stuff :)
